Roe deer in the sunshine

I was about to go out and walk across the field to have a closer look at the larch trees when I noticed two roe deer – a female and her last year's faun I think – enjoying the sunshine and the peace of the afternoon. I took the long lens up to the bathroom window instead and caught the smaller one grooming and the bigger one in the background, drowsy.

So flexible!

I heard that

She settled down to chew quietly

As the bigger one was doing

Very relaxed

 Then youngun felt drowsy too

So I didn't go for a tramp across the field. I would have had to pass close by the copse, which would have disturbed them.
