The eucalyptus tree that blew down in December last year and provided us with a garden bench is not dead. The roots that were not torn up completely are still feeding it. Today I noticed young leaf sproutings, so it looks as though we will have a living bench. I counted twenty-one of these sproutings so it's possible that there won't be much room for sitting in due course.
